Guajira
La Guajira is a Colombian department in the Caribbean Sea, bordering Venezuela and encompassing most of the La Guajira peninsula. It is distinguished by its desert landscapes, gigantic sand dunes and remote haciendas and fishing villages of the indigenous Wayuu people. The capital city, Riohacha, has a coastline lined with palm trees, beaches and craft stalls, and serves as a gateway for adventure tourism in the region.
