Huila

Huila is a department in southern Colombia, crossed by the Andes mountain range and home to the imposing Nevado del Huila volcano. The Archaeological Park of San Agustín, located to the south, has hundreds of pre-Columbian monuments and sculptures. In addition, the Magdalena River runs through the center of Huila. In the north of the city is the town of Villavieja, which is surrounded by the immense Tatacoa desert. In the Astronomical Observatory you can observe the stars.
