Coveñas
Is a tourist town on the Gulf of Morrosquillo in northern Colombia. It is known for its long beaches with calm and shallow waters. The Primera Ensenada beach is a center for water sports. To the northeast of the city, the Ciénaga de la Caimanera is a coastal lagoon with abundant fauna and a nature reserve with mangroves, alligators and a variety of fish and birds. To the southwest is the town of San Antero, known for its annual Donkey Festival.
